Privacy Policy
BLD Coach keeps your practice data on your device. This policy explains exactly what is stored, what reaches us, and what control you have.
Last updated 6 August 2026
Summary
BLD Coach is a training app for blindfolded speedcubing. It does not require an account, and your practice data — solves, sessions, algorithms and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not receive it, and we cannot see it.
The only time information reaches us is when you deliberately send it: an email to support, a feedback message, a bug report, or an export file you attach yourself.
Who we are
BLD Coach is developed and operated by Embarc Information Technology (P) Ltd., India, which is the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at bldcoach@embarc.co.in.
What the app stores on your device
The app maintains a local database on the device where it is installed. This is not synchronised to us or to any third party.
- Solve records: memo time, execution time, total time, result (success, +2 or DNF), scramble, method, date and any notes you add
- Training sessions: names, icons, colours, notes and any goals you set
- Algorithms: the built-in reference library plus any custom algorithms, notes, tags and favourites you create
- Preferences: chosen method and theme
What we collect
Nothing automatically. The app has no account system and does not require you to identify yourself in order to use any feature.
If you email us — for support, feedback, a bug report or an early-access request — we receive the contents of that email, your email address, and anything you choose to attach. We use it only to respond to you and to fix the problem you have reported.
Cloud synchronisation
BLD Coach does not currently offer cloud synchronisation. Your data does not leave your device unless you export it yourself. Cloud sync appears on the product roadmap; if and when it ships, it will be optional, and this policy will be updated before it becomes available.
Export and deletion
You can export your full practice history to JSON or CSV, or take a complete database backup, at any time from Settings. Because the data lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. There is no server-side copy for us to delete on your behalf.
If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to bldcoach@embarc.co.in and we will remove it from our records.
Third parties
The app does not include advertising, and we do not sell or share your data. When the app is distributed through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, those platforms operate their own data collection in connection with download, installation and payment, governed by their own privacy policies rather than this one.
If we later add optional diagnostics or crash reporting, it will be disclosed here and will not be enabled without notice.
Children
BLD Coach is a practice tool suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app requires no account and collects no data, using it does not involve providing personal information to us.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated as the app develops — in particular if cloud synchronisation or optional diagnostics are introduced. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date above.
This is a draft policy published for review alongside the app’s closed testing period. It describes the app’s behaviour accurately as of version 1.2 but has not been reviewed by a legal professional. Questions or corrections: bldcoach@embarc.co.in.
